When we actively care for the Earth, we tap into a sense of purpose larger than ourselves. It is a call to action driven by the understanding that the health of our planet, Gaia, directly relates to our well-being and centeredness.
By consciously nurturing growing things, adopting sustainable practices, and respecting the delicate balance of ecosystems, we acknowledge our role as custodians of this planet and keepers of an earth-centered faith.
We believe that tending the earth is a form of worship, that we can heal ourselves through healing the planet.
We serve those who feel at peace with bare toes on the earth, hands in the soil, sun on the face, and the breeze on the skin. Those who honor nature and her cycles. Those who feel called to nurture living things and find meaning in caretaking our beloved Gaia.
I’m still a newbie! I’ve been a nature-lover all my life, and began gardening during the pandemic of 2020. I will share what I learn, as I learn, with the hope and intention that it inspires others in their connections to the natural world.
I began my first garden at the height of the pandemic, a few short months after buying a home. We’d been saddened to discover many dead ash trees on the land, and it was a joy to transform those trees into garden beds in the midst of that crazy, lonely time.
I hold a Permaculture Design Certificate from Oregon State University. I find deep meaning in my connection with the natural world, and believe sustainable living and ecological harmony are the hope for our future.
